Dr. Mohammad Yaghoobi received his medical degree from Tehran University School of Medicine followed by a master’s degree in health research methodology at McMaster University, residency in internal medicine at University of Toronto, clinical GI fellowship at McGill University and advanced endoscopy training at Medical University of South Carolina.
He holds various editorial and research positions including editor of Cochrane Upper Gastrointestinal and Pancreatic Diseases, associate editor of the Journal of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (JCAG), former Editor-in-Chief of the ACG Case Reports Journal, member of the ACG educational affairs committee and the co-director of the GI health technology assessment group at the Farncombe Family Digestive Health Research Institute.
His clinical and research interest in therapeutic endoscopy is focused on complex polyp removal, EUS, ERCP and use of artificial intelligence in endoscopy. He also has extensive expertise in evidence-based medicine and specifically in conventional meta-analysis, meta-analysis of diagnostic test accuracy and health technology assessment.
